Welcome to Quickread

The place you can read faster - without skimming past the bits you actually need.

Paste a Wikipedia link, an article, or a PDF. Pick the sections you care about, then read them one word at a time in your browser.

How it works

  1. 1

Paste a link or drop a file

Wikipedia, most article pages, plain text, and PDFs. We pull out the readable text on our server so the page layout doesn’t get in your way.

  2. 2

    Choose what to read

On a wiki or a structured article you get a checklist of sections. On a PDF you pick a page range. Uncheck the intro if you only want the methods section.

  3. 3

Read one word at a time

Set words per minute, turn on the focal letter if you like RSVP-style reading, pause with a tap, and skim back ten words when you drift.

When you might need it

  • Catching up on a long wiki entry before a meeting
  • Reading one chapter of a PDF without scrolling forever
  • Proofing your own draft at a fixed pace
